HEALING LIVES ONE HERO AT A TIME
Known to many as Noah’s Ark, this part of North Carolina calls to those who seek to protect the animals and call forth a healing mission. And so it was for Equine Warrior founder, Anna Twinney and her husband and partner, Vin Mancarella. Surrounded and protected by the ancient Blue Ridge Mountains, their Whispering Feather Farm encompasses 50 acres of natural safe haven, providing sanctuary to heal hearts as both horse and human heroes seek their truth and discover their true purpose through equine coaching.
Authenticity is reflected from within the horse as the true teacher through the discovery of their silent language and diverse dialogue, a language which gives them the unique ability to read our thoughts and intentions and perceive any incongruence with our actions. Their discernment is undeniable as they react and respond to minute movements. They themselves are warriors, many risen from the ashes, and they are encouraged to find their voice and share their unique talents within the horse/human partnership. Individually and collectively both come together, recognized and supported in this collaborative coaching experience to be the heroes they are.
An experienced horse whisperer recognizes the slightest signal and translates the horse’s silent language while holding a safe place. Sacredly piecing segments together for both horse and handler, they see the impossible becoming possible as simple thoughts become reality and miracles happen. A people whisperer sees through the veil to touch the lives of those ready and willing to work through their challenges to the path of authenticity for body, mind and spirit alignment. They speak their truth to support and serve through a heart centered approach, encouraging and inspiring all to reach their highest potential.
Over the years Anna has coached thousands of national and international students, helping them to reach their full potential no matter their situation or circumstance, going beyond their perceived limitations. The wheelchair bound, visual and hearing impaired, PTSD and trauma victims, individuals diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum and those with learning difficulties, depression and addictions - all have faced their demons and stretched their limits. Combining tremendous life experience with an ability to hear spirit speak through winks and whispers, she and her team seek strong and everlasting solutions to shed shanks of suffering and so return to love. Hope is what the world needs and it’s here where we come together in the natural world to find the horses and in doing so find ourselves.
Today, The Way of the Equine Warrior offers retreats at Whispering Feather Farm and also provides expert advice on proper horse partnership to therapeutic riding barns, equine-assisted learning and coaching organizations, equine therapists and coaching facilities.

We can continue to educate practitioners in the equine coaching field on appropriate horse assessment and partnership to ensure the well-being of the horse heroes willing to serve in this capacity.
