The Way of the equine warrior
A PROMISE FULFILLED
The Way of the Equine Warrior has been thirty years in the making. Founded by Anna Twinney, internationally known for her Reach Out To Horses® (ROTH) holistic horsemanship program, this multi-faceted non-profit organization is a natural outgrowth from Anna's work and allows her to deliver on a promise she made to herself as a young woman who came into the world seeking justice and a voice for the underdog. A promise to give a voice to horses worldwide, especially in third world countries. To teach the unique relationship that can exist between horses and humans when we understand their language and partner with them through communication, connection and collaboration. To bring healing, understanding and purpose to horses that have been the victims of industry or loss. And to allow the horses to bring the same to the people Anna sought to help so many years ago as a young policewoman – the veterans, at-risk youth, survivors and first responders in both the human and animal worlds.

Before Anna became the head instructor for the school she co-developed for Monty Roberts; before she was recognized as one of the top 5% in the field of natural horsemanship; and before she travelled the world teaching the true language of the horse to those ready to listen, Anna was a policewoman in the UK. While serving, she saw firsthand the emotional suffering and scarring experienced not only by the victims but also by her colleagues on the force.
